Playing XGM/BI With Steam

Beacuse of the way Steam handles RTW and RTW:BI, running the BI version of XGM with Steam requires a couple of extra steps.

Step 1

Open Steam, go to the My Games tab and find RTW Gold. Right click on it and select properties. On the general tab click on "Set Launch Properties". In the space provided enter: -show_err -nm -mod:xgm

Step 2

To start XGM, go back to the My Games tab in Steam, right click on RTW gold, and select Rome: Barbarian Invasion.

Reverting to RTW and RTW:BI

To play regular RTW and RTW:BI you will need to remove the launch options added in Step 1. Go to the My Games tab and find RTW Gold. Right click on it and select properties. On the general tab click on "Set Launch Properties". Delete -show_err -nm -mod:xgm and leave the space blank.
